This is a quote about golf. It's pretty hilarious.

Event Rules

NOTICE TO PLAYERS

USGA Rules of Golf and JGAA Local Rules and Policies will govern play and where applicable the following local rules and additions.   Disregard any local rules on the course scorecard.

TEEING GROUND:

Black Tees

Blue Tees

Boys

Girls

DOUBT AS TO PROCEDURE – RULE 20.1c(3):  In stroke play only, a player who is uncertain about the right procedure while playing a hole may complete the hole with two balls without penalty. The player must decide to play two balls before making a stroke and should choose which ball will count if the Rules allow the procedure for that ball and announce that choice to his or her marker or another player before making a stroke. The player must report the facts of the situation to the Committee before returning the scorecard. The player is disqualified if he or she fails to do so.

OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by the inside edges at ground level of concrete boundary walls, street curbing, public roads, fences (including barbed wire fences), driving range poles, white stakes and white lines connecting markings. A ball, which crosses a public road, defined as out of bounds and comes to rest beyond that road, is out of bounds, even though it may lie on another part of the course.

PREFERRED LIES – MODEL LOCAL RULE E-3: Model Local Rule E-3 is in effect. When a player’s ball lies in the general area of the hole they are playing, the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball within one club length from the spot of the original lie/ reference point. The new spot must not be a) not nearer the hole and b) must be in the general area.

NEWLY SODDED AREAS:  When a player’s ball lies in a newly sodded area, or on the seem of a newly sodded area, the player is required to take FULL relief at the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.

PENALTY AREAS—RULE 17: Penalty areas are identified by red stakes. The edges of the penalty areas are defined by red lines. When lines and stakes appear together the lines define the edge of the penalty area. In the absence of stakes the edge of the water defines the edge of the penalty area.

CART PATHS: Cement or asphalt cart paths are considered immovable obstructions (Abnormal Course Conditions) from which relief without penalty is allowed as indicated in Rule 16.1. Dirt roads and paths are not obstructions; relief is not available under Rule 16.1.

PLAY-OFFS: A hole-by-hole play-off will be used to resolve any ties for 1st place individual. If time or weather does not permit a hole-by-hole play-off, the USGA recommended method of matching scorecards as prescribed in Committee Procedures section 5A(6) will be used.  Team ties will be determined by day 2 5th score, if still tied, day 1 5th score.
